All Things "Therapy" 🧘🏽♀️
A soft invitation to tell the truth about survival and the REAL tools that assist us.
Happy Sunsday Black Woman. 🌹
Here in The Stu, we’re talking about something that has quietly reshaped the way I understand myself.
Therapy.
Not the aesthetic version.
Not the version that fits neatly into motivational quotes.
The real kind.
The kind that makes you realize some of the traits you thought were “just your personality” were actually survival skills.
The kind that gently (and sometimes not so gently) asks you to reconsider the stories you’ve been telling yourself about your life.
Therapy isn’t as scary or dramatic as it may seems. It is simply a safe space specifically created for you to heal the confusions of life with self solely, with others you trust OR with a “licensed professional”. It isn’t as inaccessible as society may deem it to be, it’s giving yourself the space to be present in how YOU are feeling about your life.
For me, talk therapy never worked because I knew what they were going to say before they said it. I am pretty sure it’s because I am too self aware, I saw their pain was the driver vs. actually listening to mine and my own training in psychology. Shit just never worked and before you say anything about “the right one”, I’ve tried multiple times and I’m only talking to someone who I feel can innerstand my experiences because MY SHIT CAN GET HEAVY, I just carry it well and put it down frequently. ☕️
What I will say is It reintroduced me to parts of myself that had been buried under years of surviving.
This week, we’re going to talk about things like:
Survival Mode
Emotional Armor
Life Audits & Rest
Learning to Meet Yourself Honestly
Most Importantly, some tools and rituals to help you on the journey at your pace.
None of this is about fixing yourself.
It’s about innerstanding yourself.
And sometimes that innerstanding feels heavy but sometimes it feels like relief.
If you’re in a season of asking deeper questions about who you are and how you got here, you’re in the right place.
Stay Honest with Yourself as YOU Return. 🫶🏽

🎧 Her Channelled Frequency: Worthy by Jeremih & Jhene Aiko.
Reminders from The Stu. 🎵🌹:
A channelled frequency is just that. So when listening think more experience, moods and senses than the artist, their dealings and backgrounds. For example, how old were you or where were when you first heard the song?
Please only take what resonates, leave what doesn’t.
Eye Love You Always, Black Woman. 🌹
